Avoid These Fast-Food Milkshakes

Fast-food milkshakes can be a great occasional treat. However, being mindful of what you put into your body, you shouldn’t drink them often. These milkshakes are usually rich in fat and sugar and don’t offer any nutritional value.

Here are the three fast-food milkshakes that shouldn’t be consumed often.

Burger King Chocolate Oreo Shake

This shake may be tasty, but it definitely doesn’t do any good for our bodies. The shake contains almost 700 calories, 10 grams of saturated fat, and 91 grams of sugar.

According to the American Heart Association, women shouldn’t consume more than 25 grams of sugar per day, while men shouldn’t consume more than 36 grams. As you can see, the Chocolate Oreo shake contains much more sugar than the recommended daily limit.

Hardee’s Chocolate Shake

Hardee’s Chocolate Shake contains 690 calories, 59 grams of sugar, 24 grams of saturated fat, and 1.5 grams of trans fat. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends avoiding trans-fat whenever possible and limiting daily consumption to no more than 2.2 grams per day. Therefore, this shake alone almost reaches the daily limit.

Jack in the Box Oreo Shake

This shake has almost 1,000 calories, 25 grams of saturated fat, one gram of trans fat, and 113 grams of sugar. It may be delicious, but it doesn’t offer any nutritional value.

Adopt a Balanced Diet

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a shake every now and then. You can drink an occasional shake guilt-free if you have a healthy lifestyle and a well-balanced diet based on fruits, veggies, legumes, beans, seeds, meat, and nuts.
